Why It Works

This shake combines protein, natural carbohydrates and healthy fats in one convenient drink. Peanut butter adds richness and satisfying fats, while Greek yogurt and whey provide the majority of the protein.

Unlike many ready-made meal-replacement drinks, you can see exactly what goes into this shake—and adjust the ingredients to suit your training and appetite.

To Serve

Enjoy after a workout, as a filling breakfast, or whenever you need an easy protein-rich snack. For a particularly satisfying breakfast, serve alongside a piece of wholegrain toast and fresh fruit.

Variations

For more calories: Add 30–40 g rolled oats and another spoonful of peanut butter.

Dairy-Free: Replace the Greek yogurt with 100–150 g unsweetened coconut or almond yogurt, swap the milk for your favourite plant-based milk, and use a dairy-free plant protein powder. The result remains creamy, filling and high in protein without the dairy.

For a lighter shake: Use semi-skimmed milk and 10 g peanut butter.

For extra nutrition: Add a teaspoon of chia seeds.

For a berry version: Replace the banana with 100 g frozen berries and use vanilla whey instead of chocolate.
