This is a Whole Blanched Almond that has been cut in half. They have the uniformity of size and colour that can be associated with the source product. These are particularly useful when decorating cooked items as the flat edge gives a stable base. Like other blanched products they are commonly toasted to increase flavour and give a tougher texture.
