100% Organic Whole Blanched Almonds have been through a process of boiling and then rapid cooling to produce this product. The action taken removes the natural coating seen on the Shelled Almonds and leaves you with a white nut product, quite literally the meaning of "blanching". They maintain a good crunch and taste less "earthy" than their natural counterparts. Almonds provide a rich source of protein vitamin E, omega-6, iron, calcium and magnesium and antioxidants. These can be used in the bakery industry and in the production of paste, marzipan and fillings for chocolate pralines. Can be eaten as a snack, added to muesli, ground into flour or butter for cakes and breads and can even be used to make almond milk.
