A great organic trail mix balances healthy fats, protein, fiber, and a little natural sweetness. This version is excellent for hiking, cycling, office snacks, or keeping in the car.
Buy the ingredients in bulk and mix them yourself. Homemade organic trail mix is often 30–50% cheaper than premium packaged mixes and lets you avoid added oils, preservatives, and excess sugar.
Method
Preheat oven to 160°C.
Spread almonds, walnuts, pecans, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds on a baking tray.
Roast for 8–10 minutes until fragrant.
Allow to cool completely.
Chop the apricots into raisin-sized pieces.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
Store in an airtight container.
